Wolves Overcome Suns' Third-Quarter Rally to Secure Victory
In a thrilling game that had fans on the edge of their seats, the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Phoenix Suns 126-109 on Friday night in Game 4 of their Western Conference semifinal series. The win gives the Timberwolves a 3-1 lead in the series, putting them one game away from advancing to the Western Conference Finals.
The Timberwolves got off to a hot start, building a 15-point lead in the first quarter. However, the Suns fought back in the third quarter, outscoring the Timberwolves 36-27 to cut the lead to just four points. But the Timberwolves answered back in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Suns 33-18 to secure the victory.
Karl-Anthony Towns led the Timberwolves with 31 points and 11 rebounds, while Anthony Edwards added 26 points. Devin Booker led the Suns with 33 points, while Chris Paul added 20 points.
The Timberwolves will now have a chance to close out the series on Sunday night in Game 5 in Phoenix. The Suns will need to win Game 5 to force a Game 6 back in Minnesota.
